Saturday

We took the time to climb up to the top of South Mountain in SW Phoenix on Saturday. It's one of the world's largest municipal parks and was going to offer views of our new city. The road going up is extremely twisty and narrow and I almost got car sick and I was the one driving. A shame, I know. This mountain is a favorite climb for the local cyclist although I have no idea how the hell I'm going to get back down if I do ever take the trip up. The decent isn't too steep but it is steady and damn twisty. The margin of error is zero and if you slide out on a curve, you're going to be going off the side of a cliff. Not too fun.

Anyways, here are a couple of pictures of the view plus a picture of the odd event going on at the summit. There was a Mexican film crew capturing a couple of Latinas in bikinis. I wasn't sure what was going on, but it looked like they were filming an opening segment for a budget TV show since one of the males was up on top of a monument talking into the camera. Strange. See for yourself.

We also took the time to go to a few bike shops and look for a dining room table.
