We're in Arizona!
Sorry for the delay, but it's been a busy couple of weeks. Last week we were packing and driving and this week we were unpacking and cleaning.
Yeah, cleaning. The previous tentant at our rental home must have been a freaking pig. The floors were absolutely trashed, holes in the walls, pee on the toliets, etc. It was pretty nasty. But we spent a few days going over the house from top to bottom and the carpet cleaner did his magic on the floors. It's much much better now.
However, that wasn't the only roadblock that the previous tenant threw in our way. She also managed to delay us getting hot water since she apparently has a large unpaid balance on her gas bills and I have to drive to downtown Phoenix to prove that I am a new leaser. There is one advantage to living out in the desert in that when there isn't any hot water, the hot water heater in a 110F garage makes it almost comfortable.
We love the home. It's in a great neighborhood (so far) that's quiet and seems fairly safe. It's small and simple and suits all of our needs. Most people would call it 'cute.' You can't even tell that you are less than 3' from your neighbor's house on one side.
So far, we really like the city too. Chandler is a young city and everything seems pretty new. It's very different from Delaware in that everything is so close! The Target is a 3 minute drive and there is another one 5 minutes in the other direction. There are 3 Sam's Clubs withing a 15 minute radius. Meanwhile, it still doesn't feel like a big city.The frequency of post will start coming fast and often from here on out.

Well, I was going to say, "comment," to be a smartass, but I won't. Yay new house!! Call my cousin if you need friends, they live in that Awasomething place.
