Bartlett Lake

I've been doing a lot of long, difficult rides with my racing team recently. The posted pictures don't do any justice to the beautiful scenery. In the pictures below, you can see the dammed lake at the bottom of the hill. We had 13 mile down hill where we cruised at 45 mph. Going up was much more difficult, however. The climb is a steady 6% back up which took me over an hour. Not fun.

Aside from the pictured ride below, I've ridden to some other challenging yet beautiful destinations now that the weather is tolerable during the day.

And speaking of the weather, it has rained more than 3 inches in the last 2 weekends leaving the mountains around Phoenix with many feet of snow and giving us down in a valley a break from the usual 65F and sunny. Mornings now drop down to just above freezing.
